Mohamed Salah will be available for Liverpool’s Carabao Cup clash with Arsenal, if he is needed.
The Reds host the Gunners in the fourth round on Wednesday night, looking to make it through to the quarter-finals.
Jurgen Klopp is expected to ring the changes, but there were fears that he wouldn’t even have the choice of playing or resting Salah.
The 27-year-old limped out of Sunday’s 2-1 win over Tottenham, having aggravated the ankle injury picked up at home to Leicester City earlier this month.
Speaking in his pre-Arsenal press conference, however, Liverpool assistant manager Pepijn Lijnders confirmed that Salah is available for the game:
Mo is fine.
Towards the end of the game it is more precaution because the ankle gets more tired and he feels it a little bit more and we have to take him off.
But he is fine, he is good.

This is a huge positive for Liverpool, although it is more important that Salah is fit for Saturday’s trip to Aston Villa in the Premier League, rather than the Arsenal match.
It would be a huge surprise if Klopp risked him for what is a significantly less important game on Wednesday.
He should be wrapped in cotton wool, ready to thrive this weekend.
