Salzburg stunned Liverpool for a period on Wednesday night, threatening to produce one of the all-time great Champions League comebacks.
The Reds were cruising at 3-0, only for the visitors to draw level, prior to Mohamed Salah eventually earning Jurgen Klopp’s men a 4-3 win.
A fascinating video of Salzburg manager Jesse Marsch’s half-time team talk has been doing the rounds on social media, showing the American giving an inspirational speech to his players.

Interestingly, he targets Virgil van Dijk is some ways, telling the team to stop being in awe of the world-renowned Dutchman:
Be more ruthless against Van Dijk, we play with too much respect. Too much respect.
Are they strong? Yes. But it doesn’t mean that we should be nice to them and don’t tackle them or fight.

Marsch’s team talk clearly did the trick, with two quickfire goals early in the second half making it 3-3 on the night.
Van Dijk ended up experiencing arguably his most difficult night in a Liverpool shirt, falling well short of his usual level.
Salzburg listened to their manager and got in the face of the centre-back, who looked ruffled for once.
The 28-year-old will no doubt recover, though, and will be looking for a big performance at home to Leicester City on Saturday afternoon.
