Xherdan Shaqiri is expected to leave Liverpool at the end of the season, according to The Athletic.
The Swiss star has only made two Premier League starts in 2019/20, finding himself both out of favour and on the treatment table.
Shaqiri will now likely join Adam Lallana out of Anfield this summer, with the latter’s exit also mentioned in the report.

I think it makes perfect sense to move Shaqiri on, considering the fact he turns 29 this year and because he is struggling for regular playing time. He is also reportedly on £80,000 a week, which could be freed up to allow Liverpool to invest in younger additions to their squad.
Jurgen Klopp has been fantastic in the transfer market at Liverpool, but Shaqiri has been one of his less successful buys.
The 28-year-old has shown flashes of class, most notably assisting Gini Wijnaldum in the unforgettable 4-0 win over Barcelona, but he has never been a key man, with a lack of tactical discipline seen as a weakness by some.
Having said that, he only cost the Reds £13 million in 2018, which I believe has been worth it overall, but a move elsewhere this summer makes sense for all parties.
