The winners and losers in Harvey Elliot’s Liverpool move

Liverpool have finally, this morning, confirmed the signing of 16-year-old Fulham winger Harvey Elliott, making him the club’s second capture of the summer after Dutch prospect Sepp van den Berg.

Elliott is the youngest ever player to make his Premier League debut, featuring in Fulham’s clash with Wolves in May aged just 16 years, 30 days.

European heavyweights such as Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal have been pursuing his signature this summer but he opted to join the Champions League winners.

It’s been common knowledge that Elliott was to move to Anfield for weeks now after he was spotted watching the Reds face Tranmere Rovers in their pre-season opener, but fans will be happy it’s now all official.

Jurgen Klopp will be eager to develop the young star as he has with the likes of Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah, turning them into world-class talents at Liverpool.

With such an exciting transfer comes with plenty of winners and losers, so let’s go through a few of them now.
