Liverpool have named their 2019/20 Champions League squad, as they look to defend their European crown this season.
The 29-man group will aim to win back-to-back European Cups for the second time in the Reds’ history, following their triumphs in 1977 and 1978.
All the usual big-hitters are included in the squad, although the omission of the highly-rated Ki-Jana Hoever has surprised some.
These Liverpool fans have reacted to the squad announcement on Twitter, providing their thoughts on the matter.
Where is Ki-Jana Hoever?

No Hoever. Strange. You’d think he’s further ahead than van den Berg in development for our side. https://t.co/Aw4cDtD2eP

Good squad but where is Ki-jana Hoever? https://t.co/NJHAiUYvNL

Hoever’s absence from the squad is a strange one, especially considering the likes of Sepp van den Berg and Harvey Elliott are included.
The young Dutchman is arguably the most exciting teenager at Liverpool, along with Rhian Brewster, with huge things expected of him.
It still looks an imposing group of players, however, and one capable of going all the way again.
They are Europe’s most feared team, along with Manchester City, and this season’s final happens to be at the Ataturk Stadium in Istanbul.
Is it fate that Liverpool will return to the scene of their greatest triumph?
