These Liverpool fans are excited as Alisson returns to light training

Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker has returned to light training after suffering a calf injury earlier this season, as reported in the Daily Mail.

The goalkeeper was also today announced in the shortlist for the FIFA FIFPro Men’s World11 award and he is the favourite to make it in the final team.

Summer signing Adrian has covered for the injured Brazilian in recent weeks and has put in mixed performances.

The Liverpool faithful are delighted to see Alisson back on his feet and stepping up his recovery…

Although the Reds have not dropped any league points since Alisson got injured, his authority and leadership from between the sticks is something which is very valuable.

Adrian has filled in well, but he’s prone to errors, just as he did against Southampton to make the final few minutes nervy.

However, it’s important that Alisson is not rushed back into action. It’s not as if the Reds desperately need him back, especially with the way the team is currently playing.

The best thing for Liverpool to do now is manage his recovery in the best possible manner so the chances of a similar problem occurring later in the season are minimised. But for the time being, its a very positive sign.
