Liverpool had a remarkable campaign last season and the fans have every right to feel dejected at only having seven players nominated.

Fabinho, Jordan Henderson, Gini Wijnaldum and James Milner were all key members of the team as they went on to lift the UEFA Champions League trophy, so at least one of them should have been included.

All four are massively underrated and this only further proves that the crucial job they do for Jurgen Klopp’s side goes unnoticed.

That being said, the players who have been nominated should all feel confident of making the final team – having seven players nominated is a great achievement in itself.
