Joel Matip has won the Premier League Player of the Month award for September.
It is a great achievement by the likeable Cameroonian, who is currently sidelined through injury.
Matip enjoyed a superb month, outperforming even Virgil van Dijk as Liverpool kept up their winning run in the league.
These Liverpool supporters have been reacting to the 28-year-old’s triumph on Twitter, expressing their delight for him.

Read Liverpool Verdict
This is a richly deserved win for Matip, who has enjoyed an extraordinary change in fortunes over the past 12 months.
This time last season, the centre-back was out of favour, with Joe Gomez preferred to him.
An injury to the youngster gave Matip a chance to stake a claim, though, and he has been magnificent in 2019.
No player performed better in the Champions League final win over Tottenham and he has been immaculate so far this season, too.
His return to the side is vital, having missed the recent wins against Salzburg and Leicester City.
