Liverpool extended their gap at the top of the Premier League table on Saturday as they beat Southampton 4-0 at Anfield.
The Reds are now 22 points clear of 2nd-placed Manchester City, although they are set to face off against Tottenham on Sunday and could close the gap to 19 points.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain handed Liverpool the least just two minutes after kick-off for the second-half, after a determined first-half display from Southampton. Liverpool then kicked on and were able to control the game and hit their stride.
Jordan Henderson made it 2-0 to the Reds, before Mo Salah stole the show and scored twice to make sure of the three points in style.
After the game, Liverpool announced that Roberto Firmino had won Man of the Match for the game – having set-up three of the four goals scored against Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side.
