What a man! What can you say about Van Dijk that has not already been said since his move to the club from Southampton in January 2018? The Dutch defender is simply sensational and is putting himself in a great position to contend with Lionel Messi for the Ballon d’Or later this year.
If Liverpool do go on to win the Premier League title this season they will owe a lot to Van Dijk, who has been unbelievable so far. He dominates the defence, whilst also offering a presence in an attacking sense – with his aerial ability from set-pieces and passing from the back.
