UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin says Liverpool winning the Premier League title without the season being finished is not under consideration.
Football is currently postponed due to the outbreak of illness around the world, halting the Reds’ march to title glory.
There have been fears that the season could be voided, with some saying Liverpool should be handed the trophy regardless, and other disagreeing.
Ceferin is part of the latter group, saying the Reds shouldn’t win the title that way, with quotes cited by the Mirror:
I’ve saw and heard some again fake news that Uefa will advise leagues to finish the championships now and decide that the winners are the ones who are number one now.
I can say that it’s not true. Our goal is to finish the leagues and we didn’t recommend anything like that to any association or any league.

While Liverpool supporters’ primary aim is to ensure the title is sealed, winning it this way is not the way forward.
The postponement of Euro 2020 for 12 months should hopefully allow the Premier League campaign to be completed this summer, meaning the Reds can clinch glory in the most authentic way possible.
After waiting 30 years for this, it is understandable why some don’t care how it’s won, but it would be a huge shame if Jordan Henderson couldn’t hoist the trophy aloft in front of his own fans.
Doing it this way should also keep rival fans quiet, while also protecting the integrity of the league in the long run.
