Van Dijk brutally trolls Liverpool teammate Robertson on social media

Virgil van Dijk has brilliantly poked fun at Andy Robertson on Twitter, after an old photo of the pair facing each other emerged.

The duo have both been wonderful signings by Liverpool, helping transform the Reds’ defence over the past few seasons.

Van Dijk was a club-record £75 million buy from Southampton, arguably costing double now, while Robertson has been a revelation after a move from Hull City in 2017.

Not only do the pair excel alongside one another down the left-hand side of Liverpool’s defence, but they also appear to have a great relationship off the pitch.

On Thursday, Robertson took part in an #AskRobbo Q&A on Twitter, as he answered questions from supporters.

One fan showed a photo of Van Dijk and Robertson locking horns during their playing days in Scotland, asking the left-back who won the duel out of the pair.
