Virgil van Dijk has hailed Celtic skipper Scott Brown as one of the best captain’s he’s played under, and it’s easy to see why the Dutchman holds Brown in such high regard.
The Celtic midfielder is regarded as one of Celtic’s all-time great captains following his lengthy and successful spell at Parkhead.
And according to the Daily Record, Van Dijk recognises this and believes he is a player that opponents fear going into a challenge with.
He will always give 100 per cent for the team, he’s a fantastic guy, he helped me a lot and he’s up there with the five best captains I’ve worked with. Opposition players know they can’t really mess with him and are a little bit afraid to go into a 50/50 challenge when he’s coming.
