Michael Keane pulled a goal back, Origi and Mane added further efforts and Richarlison made it 4-2 on the stroke of half-time.
Gini Wijnaldum wrapped up the victory in the latter stages, securing the three points and bragging rights over their rivals.

You start to run out of words for this brilliant Liverpool side.
The team-sheet was baffling at first, but Klopp knows best and that’s exactly why the Reds demolished Everton.
Once again, the in-form Mane was superb and it was refreshing to see Shaqiri up and running. The whole team was breathtaking.
The Reds now sit eight points clear of Leicester City and 11 ahead of Manchester City. Their next fixture is away to Bournemouth on Saturday afternoon.
