Which midfielders should Liverpool target?

After the horror show against Southampton, a few things were made blindingly clear. One being, a clear out is needed.

Another being, Liverpool need a real bastard in the team. Someone that doesn’t let them concede three when up two – a leader. They haven’t had a proper one since Jamie Carragher left, and I say that as a massive Steven Gerrard fan.

What Carragher and Gerrard offered was just a bit different, and maybe what the Reds need is someone in-between the two.

Someone that’ll throw a tackle in and then ping a 30 yard pass off as his victim lays mangled behind them.

Jordan Henderson is the current captain and James Milner has looked good recently, but you can’t help but think the only midfielder Jurgen Klopp would want starting in his new-look team is Emre Can.
