Xherdan Shaqiri has spoken glowingly about his relationship with Jurgen Klopp, following his move to Liverpool in the summer.
The 27-year-old has already become a favourite among Reds supporters, adding quality and character to the squad.
His two goals against Manchester United last weekend were his greatest contribution yet and he looks like a superb signing.
Speaking to Liverpoolfc.com, Shaqiri heaped praise on Klopp as a person, highlighting the importance of clicking with a manager:
The manager is, for me, the most important thing.
Also with the move – he wanted me to come here and from the beginning we had some very good conversations, and also funny conversations.

I feel very good with him and it is important to have a good relationship with the coach.
I like that he is very modest, a very good character and you can joke with him – but on the other side of things you have to perform.
That’s important to be successful together and I hope we can have a lot of successful times at Liverpool.
Shaqiri will be hoping to start for Liverpool in their clash with Wolves on Friday night.
He has had to make do with a place on the substitutes’ bench in the last two games, but his impact against United may change that.
