Xherdan Shaqiri believes he deserves more respect for his accomplishments in Germany and Switzerland, The Mirror report.
The 27-year-old has impressed for The Reds in recent weeks, after completing a £13.5 million move from Stoke City in the summer.
The wide man, who has also been operating behind the striker, scored his first Liverpool goal in the 4-1 win over Cardiff City at Anfield last weekend.

Prior to his time in England, Shaqiri enjoyed successful stints with FC Basel, where he won three Swiss titles, and Bayern Munich, winning two Bundesliga titles, two German cups, the Club World Cup and the Champions League with the German giants.
However, after his time with Stoke turned sour in the summer, the Swiss international admitted he believes his reputation has taken a hit after a poor season with The Potters, which ended with relegation to the Championship.
Being relegated with Stoke was a very bad experience for the club and for me and I hope they can come back quickly. But despite what happened there, I am a Champions League winner. I think that deserves respect.
People should remember where I played before, the qualities I have, and what I have achieved in the game.
I played for one of the biggest teams in the world in Munich and again I am playing for one of the big clubs.
So I don’t feel any pressure from the Liverpool shirt.
Shaqiri looks set to feature in The Reds’ Champions League fixture away at Red Star Belgrade on Tuesday, and if he continues to impress boss Jurgen Klopp, the winger could nail down a regular starting spot.
