4 of Liverpool’s 5 opening games to be shown on TV

Liverpool’s opening game of the Premier League season against Arsenal has been selected to be shown live on TV.

Jurgen Klopp will now take his side the Emirates Stadium on Sunday August 14, with the game kicking-off at 4pm.

The Reds’ trip to Tottenham will also be screened on TV, as well as September fixtures against champions Leicester City and Chelsea.

Liverpool will now face Mauricio Pochettino’s men at 12:45pm on Saturday August 27, whilst Leicester’s visit to Anfield will now kick-off at 5:30pm on Saturday September 10.

The game against Chelsea has been moved forward 24 hours, and will now take place on Friday September 16 at 8pm.

Due to work being undertaken on Anfield’s Main Stand, the side’s match against Burnley on Saturday August 20 will now take place at Turf Moor.

That means that the Reds will host the Premier League new boys at Anfield on Sunday March 12.
