Liverpool have seemingly been in contact with the defender for a few weeks now and it finally seems as though a fee has been agreed. The Merseyside club are expected to pay a fee of £8 million which will rise to £10 million.
Jurgen Klopp struggled for a left back last season. He was not confident in playing Spaniar, Alberto Moreno so he was forced to play James Milner in his position. Although Milner played very well at the back, it is not his preferred position. This deal for Robertson will now give Klopp another option that he trusts as, at times, it looked like Milner needed a rest.
Liverpool are also interested in signing Naby Keita from RB Leipzig. However, reportedly today the Merseyside team have had a lucrative £66million bid refused for the midfielder. They may be forced to look elsewhere for a central midfielder.
