Mohamed Salah’s first-half strike was enough for Liverpool to get their third successive win at the start of this Premier League season. The Reds were made to work hard though, as Brighton & Hove Albion were stubborn throughout the game to not allow Jurgen Klopp’s men an easy pass.
The only goal of the came 23 minute-mark, when James Milner won the ball higher for Roberto Firmino to pick up and see Salah’s run. The Egyptian then passes the ball in the bottom right corner leaving Matt Ryan with no chance to save that.
Chris Hughton’s remained dogged and gave it a good go in the last 15 minutes, but Alisson made one significant save to essentially seal the points for the Reds.
Here are some of the reactions from the fans of both sides:

Fans were happy after Liverpool kept three consecutive clean sheets, praising Alisson and the defenders.
Huge win for a Liverpool, these are the kind of games we lost last season due to bad defending… This is going to be one crazy season!P.S. No goal conceded at Anfield in the league since February – Van Dijk and Alisson are tanks!!!

Meanwhile, Georginio Wijnaldum played well in midfield to deserve the credit from the supporters.

And a punt to Manchester United and Paul Pogba.
£90M for Pogba
. £25M for Wijnaldum. Spent £65M for like 2 dabs per season.

Solid performance. Save for a soft goal we were always in the game. Encouraging progress vs last year.
