Liverpool made it four wins from four games this pre-season as they beat Championship side Huddersfield 2-0 on Wednesday night.
Sadio Mane had a goal wrongly dissallowed, then Phil Coutinho’s penalty was saved after the Senegal attacker was brought down in the box.
But Jurgen Klopp’s men did find an opener before the break thanks to Marko Grujic’s second goal of the summer.
The visitors were forced to bring U18s goalkeeper Shamal George on as a striker when Lucas Leiva got injured with no outfield substitutes left, but it did not stop the Reds from continuing their winning streak.
Ryan Kent earned Liverpool’s second penalty of the game with minutes left, and Alberto Moreno coolly slotted the ball into the corner to seal the win.
