Liverpool are trying to tie down winger Mohamed Salah to a long-term contract as they look to fend off the interest of Spanish giants Real Madrid according to the Mirror.
The summer signing has been exceptional so far this season scoring 23 goals in 27 games to date in an amazing first season at Anfield.
The club signed the Egyptian for £31.5 million from Roma last summer but after a number of fine performances, Salah is already attracting interest from some of Europe’s biggest clubs.

Real Madrid have become keen on the player after revealing that they are looking for a long-term replacement for former United star Cristiano Ronaldo at the end of the season.
The Reds are set to offer the 25-year-old a huge deal which will prevent any clubs from signing the player whilst they are also in talks with fellow forwards Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino over new deals.
