Liverpool will face Serie A side Roma as part of the club’s US tour this summer, the Italian club has confirmed.
The Reds will face Luciano Spalleti’s side at St Louis’ Busch Stadium on August 1, with the game scheduled to kick off at 4pm UK time.
It will be the third and final game of Liverpool’s US tour this summer, with games against Chelsea and AC Milan already scheduled for July 28 and 31 respectively.
Liverpool haven’t faced Roma in competitive action for 15 years, but they met in a pre-season friendly in similar circumstances two years ago.

On that ocassion, the Italian side ran out 1-0 winners at Boston’s Fenway Park thanks to a last-minute goal by Marco Borriello.
The latest addition to the Reds pre-season plans sets up an increasingly hectic summer for Jurgen Klopp and his side, with eight games now scheduled prior to the start of the Premier League season.
Along with aforementioned games in the US, Liverpool are also preparing to face Spanish champions Barcelona at Wembley Stadium aswell as visits to Wigan Athletic, Fleetwood Town, Huddersfield Town and Tranmere Rovers.
