With just over a week to go until the start of Euro 2016, anticipation is starting to rise surrounding what we can expect from this year’s edition of the tournament.
For Liverpool fans in particular, interest in the tournament is rife, with as many as twelve Reds making the plane to France; the most of any other club in the world.
Odds would suggest that at least one of them will leave Stade de France in a month’s time with an illustrious winners medal, but if that should happen, they won’t be the only players to have won the competition whilst with the club.
Ahead of the tournament’s launch next Friday, Ashley Thornton-Jones has taken a look at Liverpool’s previous history in the competition, and came up with his best XI for you to have a look at.
How well do you think this team would do if it was to compete in this year’s competition? Let us know in the comments or via social media!
