Brazilian youngster Allan is set to join Hertha Berlin on loan, according to the Liverpool Echo.
The 19-year-old has been on trial at the Bundesliga club, and reports state that manager Pal Dardai is ready to offer the player a loan deal after impressing in Hertha’s 2-1 friendly victory over Eintracht Braunschweig on Saturday.
Allan was signed by Liverpool last summer, but he cannot play in England until he is granted a work permit.
Last season, he went on loan to Finnish side SJK Seinajoki and scored two goals in eight appearances as they won the top flight title for the first time in their history.
The young midfielder also had a short stint at Belgian Pro League side Sint-Truidense, making eight appearances as they finished 13th.
And now it looks like a third loan spell away from Anfield is imminent, with Reds boss Jurgen Klopp left frustrated at the situation regarding the player’s work permit.
In March, Klopp admitted that he had no idea who Allan was when he was appointed Liverpool manager, but now thinks he’s a tremendous talent.
“I saw him in training and I thought ‘oh my god, what can we do to keep this boy here and bring him in the line-up'”, he said.
“He’s 19-years-old, an outstanding talent, a good player with a good attitude, everybody loves him, he’s a nice lad – so that’s really, really good. He’s a smart player.
“There is no chance at the moment here because he can’t get the permission to play here, so we have to send him out on loan.”
If a move does go through, it will be a tremendous opportunity for Allan at a side that finished as high as seventh in the German top flight last season, ensuring Europa League Qualification.
Last week, they beat Brondby 1-0 in the first leg of their Third Qualifying Round, with the return leg in Denmark being played this week.
