Huddersfield David Wagner says that just because Liverpool have lost their previous two games, it does not make the task of facing the Reds any easier.
Speaking at his press conference ahead of Tuesday’s game, Wagner said the Swansea game, which Liverpool lost 1-0, reminded him of when his side got the better of Manchester United earlier in the season.
I have seen similarities to our game when we beat Manchester United. There has to be a lot of things that go in your favour which was the case with Swansea. Liverpool were not at their best and the crowd was there.

Wagner then went on to say that whilst it won’t be easy for his side, they will look to seize on any vulnerability of the Reds.
Yes we have seen Liverpool beaten two times in a row and they look vulnerable at the minute. Does that mean we will be successful? No. Does it mean we will have a chance? Absolutely especially at home at the John Smiths Stadium. If there is a chance then we will grab it with both sides.
The Huddersfield boss is friends with Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp but he insists that won’t matter once the game kicks off.
It is different, and it is special. We have a relationship and a friendship which is extraordinary but tomorrow night at eight o’clock, this does not matter. It is all about Huddersfield against Liverpool and we are both in a position where we both need the points. Liverpool can have all of the points in the Premier League but not tomorrow night. We will try our hardest and fight for every yard tomorrow to cause them the biggest problem that they can have.
