Well, the midweek game at the King Power Stadium didn’t go to plan as we were dumped out of the Carabao Cup by Leicester.
It was a game that Liverpool dominated in the first half and we should have been out of sight, but after we failed to make the most of our superiority, the inevitable occurred as we conceded two goals after the break, mainly due to sloppiness, although Islam Slimani’s goal was a great strike.
We now have the perfect opportunity to redeem ourselves as we head back to Leicester on Saturday to seek revenge. I’m expecting a lot of changes from both sides for this game. Jamie Vardy could well return and I expect the likes of Kasper Schmeichel, Harry Maguire, Riyad Mahrez to start for the hosts. I’d expect Shinji Okazaki to start too as his introduction changed the game for them in the midweek game.
Liverpool will make wholesale changes and I expect eight or nine different starting players from what played on Tuesday night. Main men Mo Salah and Roberto Firmino will start and it will be interesting to see who the other forward player will be, either Daniel Sturridge or Philippe Coutinho.

It’s vitally important for Liverpool to get three points at the weekend after last week’s disappointing draw at home to Burnley.
The Reds have got a few things to prove, Jurgen Klopp included, as we have come under the spotlight in recent weeks due to poor defensive performances which have led to more questions about the manager’s lack of recruitment for the defence.
It will be a tough game though, as Leicester are a dangerous side and we’ve lost our last three games at their ground. I do however, feel we can go there and get a much-needed win.
Prediction
Leicester 1-2 Liverpool
(Mahrez / Firmino, Coutinho)
