After securing a place in the semi-final of the EFL Cup on Tuesday night, Liverpool’s focus will return back to the Premier League and the trip to the south coast to face Bournemouth.
Liverpool beat Bournemouth three times last season but all three games were tight games and although the current Reds’ side is a much improved unit, the home side have also gotten better so it won’t be an easy game on Sunday.
Team news wise, Liverpool will be without Daniel Sturridge and Philippe Coutinho, but Adam Lallana should be fit to play after resuming full training.
There are doubts over both Roberto Firmino and Joel Matip but both are expected to play.
With third-placed Manchester City hosting first-placed Chelsea on Saturday, the Reds will know that a win over Bournemouth would see them pull away from at least one of those sides, and that should be a huge motivation.
