Liverpool will look to put the pain of Saturday’s 3-2 FA Cup defeat to West Brom behind them as they travel to Huddersfield.
Liverpool have lost their last two games to the 19th and 20th placed sides in the league table so despite Huddersfield being in 14th, just two points above the relegation zone, the Reds cannot be complacent at all.
Here’s the XI I think Jurgen Klopp will select for a game he really could do with winning!
Loris Karius
Karius is Liverpool’s number one these days, so he’ll start at the John Smiths Stadium.
Joe Gomez
Trent Alexander-Arnold got the nod against West Brom but I think Klopp will recall Joe Gomez for this one.
Joel Matip
Joel Matip’s stock seems to have fallen recently and his display against the Baggies did little to ease any worries about him. He’ll hope for a better showing against Huddersfield.
Dejan Lovren
When you pay £75million for a defender, there’s a good chance he’ll play most games but that isn’t the case with Virgil van Dijk. Reports are that he’ll be rested for the game, with Lovren coming into the side.
Andy Robertson
Alberto Moreno was poor against West Brom too, so I expect Robertson to come back in.
Jordan Henderson
The captain is back in full training and after a bright cameo on Saturday, I think he’ll start.
Gini Wijnaldum
Wijnaldum had a pretty poor game against Albion but I think Klopp will stick with him for this one.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain
Oxlade-Chamberlain wasn’t great either but I think he’ll get the chance to redeem himself.
Mo Salah
Liverpool’s top scorer now has 25 goals this season, he’ll be hoping to add to that.
Sadio Mane
Sadio Mane’s form has been inconsistent as of late. He’s had some top class games, whilst he’s been really poor in others. Hopefully he can get back on track here.
Roberto Firmino
Firmino could probably do with a rest at some point but this game is huge after two losses, I think Klopp will have to pick him for this one.
