The excitement is building on Merseyside as this weekend’s Champions League final edges ever closer.
Liverpool will take on European giants Real Madrid in Kiev as they attempt to win the competition for the sixth time.
Liverpool’s run to the final has been jam-packed with goals, entertainment and drama, and is one which will be fondly remembered, regardless of the outcome.
It started with a two-legged playoff against Hoffenheim, the stage for Trent Alexander-Arnold to properly introduce himself with a wonderful free-kick.
MAJurgen Klopp’s men then emphatically made it through the group stage, putting 10 goals past Maribor and eight past Spartak Moscow across both fixtures.
Then came a 5-0 aggregate victory over Porto, 5-1 against Manchester City and 7-6 over Roma.
The Reds will go into the match with an air of confidence, knowing their brand of flowing, attacking football is irresistible once in full swing.
Of course, the threat of Mohamed Salah will put Madrid on the back foot somewhat, with the Egyptian having scored 44 goals this season.
Klopp’s men will be backed by just over 16,000 kopites, who will bring a raucous atmosphere to the Ukrainian capital in the hope of seeing Jordan Henderson lifting that famous silver jug.
Without further ado, here’s how we expect Liverpool to line up on Saturday night…
