After a vital Premier League win away to Leicester City, Liverpool must now turn their attention back to the Champions League as they face Spartak Moscow in Russia on Tuesday evening.
The Reds were disappointed to only get a draw at home to Sevilla in their first group game so they’ll be looking to bounce back with a win against a Spartak side that has been struggling so far this year.
Jurgen Klopp is certain to make a few changes to his side for the game, but which starting XI will he select?
Here’s what I think:
Loris Karius
Karius is the Champions League goalkeeper so he’ll get the nod in-goal. I personally would rather see Simon Mignolet play as I think he needs to develop an understanding with his defence but I’m certain the German will start.
Trent Alexander-Arnold
With Joe Gomez suspended after his late red card against Sevilla, Alexander-Arnold will start at right-back. He scored a wonderful free-kick the last time he played in a European away game, more of the same here would be nice!
Joel Matip
Matip is one of the few players who doesn’t seem to be rotated so he’ll likely start.
Ragnar Klavan
I have a feeling that the manager will rest Dejan Lovren, who was an injury doubt going into the Leicester game, therefore Klavan starts here.

Alberto Moreno
Andy Robertson could start here with Moreno having just played but I think Klopp will stick with the Spaniard at left-back.
Jordan Henderson
After some poor displays this season, it was great to see Henderson play so well against Leicester. He now needs to back that up in Moscow.
Emre Can
It might get lost in the shuffle a bit but I thought Can had a very good game at the weekend and he should get the chance to show his value again in this game.
James Milner
Gini Wijnaldum has played a lot of football recently and I think the manager would quite like to have Milner on the pitch in what should be a hostile atmosphere.

Sadio Mane
Mane’s missed Liverpool’s last three games due to suspension so he’ll be keen to get back to the form he was in before the Man City game.
Philippe Coutinho
I think the manager might give Mo Salah a rest now that Mane is back and with Phil needing more minutes in his legs, I think he will start on the left.
Daniel Sturridge
Sturridge was fantastic when he came on against Leicester whilst Roberto Firmino looked very tied, therefore I think the Englishman will start this one.
