It’s been a very frustrating season so far for Liverpool and already, we are struggling to reach the heights of last season when we looked like mounting a title challenge before ultimately settling for a top four position.
This campaign is already looking bleak and it looks like it will be tough ask to emulate last year, even after just nine games.
We still suffer from the same age old problems of having a poor goalkeeper and a terrible defence that ships goals galore.
Jurgen Klopp is a very likable, passionate manager, but two years into his reign at Liverpool, he’s failed to rectify the key issues that we had before he arrived.
The errors leading to the four goals we conceded against Spurs were the latest in what is becoming a common theme of errors and that simply is not good enough.
Klopp’s friend and protege, David Wagner, brings his newly promoted Huddersfield side to Anfield on Saturday and if there was ever a manager that knows Klopp inside out, it’s him.
On paper, this should be an easy three points for Liverpool but Wagner should know how to negate Klopp’s methods and the injury to Phillipe Coutinho, adding to the losses of Sadio Mane and Adam Lallana, weakens the Reds further.
I do feel we will get the win we need though, but Huddersfield seem to be a well organised side and it won’t be a walk in the park.
Prediction
Liverpool 2-1 Huddersfield (Salah, Oxlade-Chamberlain / Mounie)
