Liverpool vs Arsenal: Combined XI

Arguably the two sides in the league under the most pressure, both Liverpool and Arsenal are under intense scrutiny to grind out a result. A draw does neither side any favours really, and a defeat would dent either side’s ambitions.

Liverpool’s atrocious 3-1 defeat away at Leicester wholly summed up their dismal spell since the turn of the year – whilst Gunners’ manager Arsene Wenger is under renewed pressure regarding his future as his side have lost three of their last five games.

Although they did at least end their run of consecutive defeats against Hull City in their last league outing, they still need a win if they want to consolidate their stranglehold on the top four.

With Jurgen Klopp stating he is ‘not a clown’ and that won’t ignore Liverpool’s slide in recent weeks, will the team reciprocate his words at Anfield on Saturday evening?

It’s sure going to be a rapturous atmosphere and here’s how my combined XI would pan out between the two sides. There’s a lot of good players to choose from.

Note: I’ve only selected players who are available for today’s game.
