Predicted XI: Man City (A)

Ahead of Liverpool’s trip to Manchester City on Sunday in which will be seen as a six-pointer in the race for Champions League qualification, we’ve drawn up our predicted XI.

Liverpool come into the game with back-to-back wins against Arsenal & Burnley – with the latter being viewed as especially imperative in the Reds’ attempts to secure a top 4 spot.

But they will be up against a side inside the top 6 which will come as welcome relief to Jurgen Klopp as well as the supporters – with the side’s impeccable points return against these sides so far this season.

Man City suffered a potentially morale-shattering defeat in midweek to AS Monaco in the Champions League – and following dropped points in their last league outing at home to Stoke, manager Pep Guardiola will need to pick up the pieces fast.

A win for the away side would move them into third ahead of the Sky Blues – whilst a home win could potentially deal a blow to Liverpool’s ambitions this season. A draw wouldn’t be much of a benefit to either sides; although both sets of supporters would likely settle for one in a difficult match to predict.
