Jurgen Klopp’s decision to field a near full-strength side against FC Rubin in Russia paid off, as Liverpool picked up their first win of their Europa League campaign.
Jordon Ibe grabbed his first ever goal for the Reds and that was enough to secure the three points against a poor Rubin side who, in truth, were fortunate to only lose by one goal to nil.
Having drawn his first three fixtures as Liverpool boss, Klopp has masterminded three successive victories, and the Reds will go into Sunday’s home game with bogey team Crystal Palace full of confidence.
Here are the player ratings from Thursday’s Europa League victory.
