Former Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana recently wrote a piece for The Times newspaper.
In it, he commend Liverpool youngster Trent Alexander-Arnold after his recent flourish in his return to form.
The 33-year-old midfielder highlighted Alexander-Arnold’s sensational reaction to being left out of the England squad in March.
The right-back found himself snubbed for the countries World Cup qualifiers the other month.
However, as mentioned by Lallana, the 22-year-old kept his head down and carried on working…
As cited by AnfieldWatch on Twitter, Trent deserved to be involved in the recent squad announcement.
This professional reaction has seen him included in Gareth Southgate’s provisional 33-man squad for Euro 2020.
The tournament, which kicks off in just over two weeks, could see Trent back involved with England.
Southgate even spoke himself about the defenders reaction and his ability to play in different positions.
Trent has reacted incredibly well and has proven why he deserves to be on the plane for Euro 2020.
With the ability to play across the right side of the pitch he is an invaluable player with incredible talent.
Not only that, but he has experience in winning big trophies with the Premier League and Champions League already under his belt.
To leave this sort of experience out of the squad would be a huge mistake and Southgate has made the right choice.
