Playing away from home against a struggling bottom-half side presented yet another test for Liverpool.

Another test passed, although not with flying colours, as Liverpool snapped to life in the second half to beat Swansea City 2-1 at the Liberty Stadium.
The Reds were dangerously close to reviving an old pattern of entering an international break on a loss with no quick opportunity for remedy. After an abject first 45 minutes, where the side lacked touch, tempo and tenacity, they were lucky not to be in a deeper hole at the break.
Yet this is a club emerging from the shadows of inconsistency and underperformance. Jurgen Klopp has built a side with growing patience, perseverance and professionalism.
Liverpool put together a second half that included a 30 minute surge to grind out a fourth consecutive league victory and bounce into the break with Manchester United waiting on the other side.
