Liverpool fans all over the world who celebrate Christmas will feel that their holidays can be that extra bit sweeter after they saw their side win 1-0 in the Merseyside Derby.
Sadio Mane’s injury time winner gave the Reds all three points in a match that was scrappy, sloppy and generally lacking in quality.
Everton were quick out of the blocks and did a good job disrupting Liverpool but didn’t get much to show for it, although Funes Mori missed a good chance when he headed wide from a corner.
In the second half, the Reds dominated but struggled to create many chances but late on, Daniel Sturridge’s miss-hit effort hit the post and Mane reacted quickest to slam home and send the away end into hysteria.
