Who was Liverpool’s best player against Everton?

Sadio Mane’s last-gasp goal secured a dramatic Merseyside Derby victory for Liverpool after a largely lacklustre affair at Goodison Park.

It was Everton who started the stronger of the two sides and though the balance began to shift as the Reds applied the pressure in the closing stages of the first half, with Divock Origi coming close, it was goalless at the interval.

Liverpool were dominant thereafter but created few clear-cut chances, aside from Roberto Firmino’s curling effort following a corner which substitute ‘keeper Joel Robles saved well.

A frustrating draw looked inevitable until Daniel Sturridge’s effort from outside the box struck the post and Mane reacted the first to fire the ball into an empty net, delighting the red half of Merseyside.

Who did you think was Liverpool’s best player?

You’ll be shown two players, simply pick which of the two you think performed the best and we’ll continue in a ‘Winner-Stays-On’ style.
