Who was Liverpool’s best player against Spurs?

A quick-fire brace from Sadio Mane secured a morale-boosting victory for Liverpool against top four rivals Spurs at Anfield.

The Reds flew out of the blocks, bearing all the hallmarks of the side which was so impressive earlier in the season, and were in front on 16 minutes courtesy of Mane’s cool finish following Gini Wijnaldum’s pass.

Two minutes later, the Senegalese international doubled his side’s lead, smashing the ball home after Hugo Lloris had kept out efforts from Adam Lallana and Roberto Firmino.

There were few clear-cut chances in the second half as Jurgen Klopp’s men cruised to a first league win of 2017 and returned to the top four.
