Who was Liverpool’s best player against Watford?

Liverpool went top of Premier League for the first time during Jurgen Klopp’s tenure with a 6-1 annihilation of Watford at Anfield.

Sadio Mane broke the deadlock on 27 minutes, with Philippe Coutinho doubling the host’s advantage three minutes later with a fine effort from 20 yards.

Emre Can then headed in the Reds’ third from Adam Lallana’s cross before the interval, but they weren’t finished there.

Just before the hour mark, Roberto Firmino got in on the act with a close-range finish, and it was 5-0 moments later as Mane netted his second.

To their credit, Watford refused to throw in the towel and got one back through Daryl Janmaat, only for Georginio Wijnaldum to complete the rout in stoppage time.
