Liverpool are through to the semi-finals of the League Cup for the third successive season after a hard-fought victory over Championship side Leeds United.
The Reds were much the better side in the first-half but couldn’t really create many clear chances.
After the break, the visitors grew in confidence and were unlucky not to score when Kemar Roofe capitalised on a mistake by Kevin Stewart and curled a shot at the post.
In the end, the Reds managed to get a goal thanks to a really good goal. Trent Alexander-Arnold delivered a wonderful cross which was turned home by Divock Origi.
The moment of the night was undoubtedly Liverpool’s second goal.
Ben Woodburn became the youngest ever scorer in the club’s history when he hammered home from close range in front of the Kop.
