Marc-Andre ter Stegen could be a loan target for Liverpool according to The Mirror.
Ter Stegen is apparently unhappy at Barcelona as he’s found 1st team starts hard to come by, mainly due to Claudio Bravo’s form.
The 22-year-old German goalkeeper only joined the Spanish outfit last summer, and he started a rare game in the Copa del Rey yesterday (Thursday) against Elche.
He’s highly rated for such a young age, and it’s thought a short-term loan to Liverpool could be one solution.
It’s fair to say such a deal would help both parties, with Liverpool seemingly on the hunt for a new ‘keeper.
James Pearce (Liverpool Echo) reported yesterday that the Reds may look to bring in a stopper on loan and then address the long term position in the summer, where targets are more available.
Ter Stegen would get game time at Liverpool, and also help the Merseyside club out, but would Barcelona be willing to let their number two go for 5 months?
Would Ter Stegen be a good signing for the Reds? Let us know below.
