AC Milan are interested in signing Dejan Lovren this summer, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.
The Serie A club are looking to have a squad overhaul, with Marco Giampaolo taking charge as manager and Frederic Massara set to become sporting director.
Lovren is someone they see as ideal to bring in, despite an injury-plagued season at Liverpool.
The 29-year-old featured just 18 times in all competitions, playing a lesser role than many as the Reds won the Champions League.
It is a move that could potentially appeal to Lovren, considering he is now undoubtedly Liverpool’s fourth-choice centre-back.
Virgil van Dijk is arguably the first name on the Reds’ team-sheet, while Joe Gomez is an immense young player and Joel Matip finished the season in excellent form.
Lovren is at the top of Milan’s wishlist, with a lack of centre-backs currenty on show at the San Siro.
The Croatia international has spent five seasons at Anfield, where he has proven to be a divisive figure.
While some performances have been good along the way, too many individual errors have seen him criticised.
