Liverpool midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is reportedly keen on working as a pundit at this summer’s World Cup in Russia, with the BBC and ITV battling to get him on board.
The Daily Mirror cite Daily Mail in saying that ITV are currently at the front of the queue, with both broadcasters keen to finalise their punditry teams as soon as possible.
The 24-year-old was expected to be part of Gareth Southgate’s England squad after an impressive debut season at Anfield, but a knee injury picked up in the first league of the Champions League semi-final against Roma ruled him out of the tournament.

Oxlade-Chamberlain moved from Arsenal for £35m last summer and has three goals and seven assists in the Premier League this campaign.
The midfielder made his senior England debut aged 18 against Norway in 2012 and has picked up a total of 32 caps, including three caps in the 2016 European Championships in France.
Whilst he can’t take part in the competition, Oxlade-Chamberlain looks set to be appearing on our TV screens as a pundit durng the World Cup.
