Alisson, Fabinho and Sadio Mane could all be available for Liverpool’s vital Premier League clash with Manchester City on Sunday afternoon, Jurgen Klopp has confirmed.
The Reds host the current league leaders, knowing that a win is needed in the title race, trailing Pep Guardiola’s side by seven points and having played a game more.
Alisson, Fabinho and Mane all missed Wednesday’s 1-0 at home to Brighton, acting as a big blow.
Speaking to reporters in his press conference on Friday, however, Klopp hinted that the trio may be back this weekend:
Alisson feeling better after illness and should train today. Sadio Mane and Fabinho to play a small part in team training today as they push to return for #LFC v Manchester City.

This is a major positive for Liverpool, ahead of arguably their most important game of the season so far.
The Reds’ hopes of retaining the title are hanging by a thread, but having Alisson, Fabinho and Mane will increase their chances of going on a run of good form.
Fabinho’s return is of particular importance, considering he is arguably Liverpool’s Player of the Year so far.
Alisson and Mane being back is also vital, though with the latter potentially coming in for Xherdan Shaqiri, which is a big step up in quality.
