Bayern Munich goalkeeper Christian Fruchtl turned down a move to Liverpool in December, according to Sport1, as translated by Sport Witness.
It is reported that the Reds were keen on bringing the 20-year-old to the club, but he decided to stay put.
Fruchtl is yet to make a first-team appearance for Bayern, having risen through the youth ranks since joining from SpVgg Grun-Weiss Deggendorf in 2014.
He is looking to gain regular playing time on loan, although Liverpool looked at acquiring his signature prior to the January transfer window.
It is claimed that they promised to make him Alisson’s deputy, but he only wanted to move somewhere as first-choice.

I think Fruchtl made the correct decision from a personal point of view, considering the lack of game time that would likely have come his way at Liverpool.
With Alisson arguably the best ‘keeper in the world at the moment, and Adrian a very able deputy, it is hard to see where he would have fitted in.
If the claim that Fruchtl was told he would be second choice is true, it may suggest that Adrian will move on at the end of the season.
The 33-year-old has been linked with a summer move to Real Betis.
