Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer is expected to return from a thumb injury this week, as reported on FourFourTwo.
Liverpool welcome the German champions to Anfield next Tuesday evening in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League last 16 tie.

Neuer has been nursing a thumb problem but Bayern boss Niko Kovac confirmed that the Germany number one could play in their Bundesliga match against Augsburg on Friday night.
The manager said:
Manuel has not had any complaints, so he’s an option for Friday’s game again.
Manuel is an ambitious goalkeeper, and those who have achieved so much must have a special ambition, and when you get there you have to do more than anyone else.
So, the situation is not new to him. For the games he did not play, his only choice was his own decision. The player always has the last word and in this case, Manuel is ready.
Bayern are expected to field a full-strength starting lineup against Augsburg as they look to close the gap on leaders Borussia Dortmund.
