Bolton Wanderers goalkeeper Adam Bogdan has hinted that a possible move to Liverpool is on the cards.
Boss Brendan Rodgers is on the lookout for another goalkeeper following his decision not to renew Brad Jones’ contract.
Bogdan himself has turned down a contract offer made by Bolton which would have made the Hungarian international one of the club’s highest earners.
In an interview with Nemzeti Sport, Bogdan said: “I am confident that soon will decide my fate.
“My goal is to play at a higher level but it also depends on where you get a chance.
“We’ll see, everything is decided in the next week or two.”
The 27-year-old joined the Championship outfit in 2007 and has remained at the club for eight years predominantly as a second choice option.
Liverpool have been linked with a number of goalkeepers this summer but Bogdan is the one that seems more likely to join the club.
The player, capped 19 times by Hungary, has found himself back on the substitute bench, as Bolton boss Neil Lennon seems to prefer Andy Lonergan as his first choice.
If Bogdan is to be signed by Brendan Rodgers it wouldn’t be the first time that the club have signed a goalkeeper from a Championship club as current keeper Brad Jones was signed from Championship club Middlesbrough.
