Liverpool’s 19-year-old forward Rafael Camacho is refusing to sign a new deal, as he goes in search of first-team football ahead of next season.
According to Portuguese outlet A Bola, as cited on talkSPORT, both Wolves and Sporting are believed to be interested in signing the forward, who could now be available for less than £10 million.
Camacho made his full official debut for the Reds in a 2-1 loss to Wolves last season in the FA Cup but spent most of the campaign with Liverpool’s U23s.
The Portuguese scored eight times as well as assisting five during his 14 appearances in the Premier League 2 last season.
Camacho only has one year left on his Liverpool contract so if he doesn’t sign a new contract this summer the Reds will be looking to offload him.
It has been suggested that 19-year-old and Klopp may not see eye-to-eye as back in April, Camacho blasted the Liverpool manager on Instagram for playing him as a right-back, rather than in a more attacking role.
I’m not a right defender, I’m an attacker who scores goals. This is my DNA.
